Help Us Fight to Keep Jackson South’s Obstetrics Unit Open!

PHT Board members recently voted to close the obstetrics unit at Jackson South, which provides critical services to expectant mothers in the community.

Jackson’s leaders say closing the unit is necessary because it is projected to lose more than $2.5 million this fiscal year – but no analysis has been done to find out what it would take to bring in more patients.

Members from Jackson South’s obstetrics unit and union leadership will speak before Miami-Dade commissioners at their meeting on Thursday, July 8th.
