We are 5,000 RNs, Physicians, Medical Professionals and Healthcare workers throughout Florida, who value Quality Patient Care and Workplace Fairness, and we are working toward making these goals a reality.

Who we are                                                                                                                                       SEIU Local 1991 is a largely voluntary organization. We are proud to be a part of the largest and fastest growing union in the United States, the Service Employees International Union, with over 1.5 million members nationwide.

What we do                                                                                                                                       SEIU represents members in many diverse fields that serve as the glue that holds together the fabric of our communities. Over the years we have worked hard to build a credible, responsible organization, one with integrity and focused not only on improving the wages and working conditions for our members, but also on protecting the standards in our professions and maintaining the highest quality care for our patients and our communities.

Our Union is also taking active role in protecting our patients and profession through the legislative process. We work to make a difference in our worklife and in the lives of patients and families from whom we care.
