BARGAINING UPDATE #10 &  NEWSLETTER
November 3, 2005

Excellent Healthcare Workers= EXCELLENT Quality Care
Share your Quality Care Stories.

Our Patient Advocacy campaign continues. While Management focuses on their demoralizing tactics, we stay the course of demanding improvements in the hospital systems. Quality care is always our number one priority.  For many months we have been advocating for the repair and improvement of the broken systems at JMH. We have proposed to management resolutions to the problems which delay or obstruct the delivery of the excellent care we struggle to provide. Management has ignored our proposals and instead retaliated with their offensive economic proposals, but we will not be moved! Quality Care is the right of our patients and our top responsibility. Management may continue to come at us with cuts and take-backs but we will not stray from our mission: Excellent Quality Care! Please be sure to record your Quality Care stories on the Patient Advocacy forms that are being circulated. Stay tuned for other vehicles through which to share your experiences.

Miami–Dade Commission Responds to Your Postcards

Through your efforts the Miami Dade County Commission received over 15,000 postcards collectively. Your strong, united voices brought an immediate response. The Commission made it crystal clear that they were not involved in any way with the offensive measures proposed by management. Please take a moment to call or email your commissioners and thank them for their response. Be sure to affirm to them that we continue to deliver quality care, in spite of the broken systems and any low morale brought about by these tense labor talks.  We appreciate their continued support of quality care at JMH.
