The Tragedy in Haiti Calls on Each of Us to Act

Several members have been asking how they can help in the relief efforts in Haiti. Please continue to sign up through the SEIU "Help Haiti" Effort. We are coordinating with federal agencies and the service and relief communities to recruit healthcare workers for deployment. Enter your information and SEIU we will contact you as soon as information becomes available.
Since several of the victims are currently being transported from Haiti to Jackson Memorial Hospital, your work here in Miami will also be greatly assisting in the relief efforts.

SEIU is currently setting up counseling centers in Miami, New York and Montreal. 1199's Support Center in Boston has already counseled more than 400 individuals who have been directly impacted by the earthquake.

*

CNN has an online destination to help individuals seek information on their missing loved ones
.  We will continue to highlight effective bulletin boards and search engines as we find them.
*

Also, here are links to other organizations where we are asking our members to donate:
International Relief Fund of the American Red Cross
Project MediShare

We are being very careful to ensure that when we make recommendations, the donations are immediately put to use in helping Haiti.
