Mark your calendars for Nurse Lobby Day 2010, our union’s annual trip to Tallahassee where we will visit the Capitol to lobby for healthcare funding and advocate for legislation that will impact our patients and profession.

 

SEIU Local 1991 will pay travel expenses for our members to attend the two-day lobbying blitz on April 21 and 22, 2010 where we will attend House of Representative sessions, participate in Town Hall meetings and hold a press conference in the Capitol Building. Members who would like to attend must be COPE contributors.

 

Last year, more than 100 nurses participated in Nurse Lobby Day and together formed a powerful voice in the legislative process. Stay tuned to www.seiu1991.org for more details on our upcoming trip!
