Miami-Dade Commissioners Vote Against Further Cuts in First Budget Discussion!


After nearly 100 Local 1991 members sent letters to Miami-Dade Commissioners urging them not to slash the county's budget again, commissioners today voted to raise the millage rate to maintain the current county budget, also known as the "roll-back" rate.

Judge Allows Our Suit Concerning Quality of
Patient Care at Jackson

At an emergency hearing on May 13, a judge heard our union's three-count lawsuit against Jackson Health System and granted our petition to compel Jackson's administrators to perform their duties of delivering a uniform standard of care to all of Jackson's patients. To read more, click HERE.
